More than 200 registered users :)
mpranj — Wed, 04/28/2010 - 07:48
I am pleased to announce that our Jabber/XMPP user database has exceeded 200 users. We are happy to be able to provide such a service for anyone who likes to use it and we will continue working on it with our best knowledge. When there is more time we will try to write an introduction to jabber for those out there who don't know what it is or how to use it. We still see many users registering and not even logging in once - this is true mostly for users who register through this site and not through a Jabber/XMPP client.
Server update
mpranj — Tue, 04/06/2010 - 12:50
Today our jabber server was updated to the latest version of ejabberd (2.1.3). It includes many bugfixes(rather minor fixes) - but you may not have even noticed any problems with the previous version anyway. Still, we try to keep everything up to date for security reasons.
By the way, huge thanks to fsinf who contribute the best (imho) debian/ubuntu repository [ http://apt.fsinf.at ] for ejabberd, spectrum transport and some py-transports.

Transport testing day one
mpranj — Wed, 12/16/2009 - 19:20
Ok this was one day of testing spectrum transports. Everything except msn worked fine so I am leaving the new transports online. MSN transport was switched to pymsn-t again to keep everything as stable as possible!
New transports
mpranj — Wed, 12/16/2009 - 05:23
I will keep this post short because its late. We have new transports, I have tested only msn and icq which work fine for me. The new transports use a lot less memory and are much faster than the old python transports. This should keep the server as fast as possible for everyone.
So right now we support the following transports for jabb3r.net and limun.org:
jabb3r.net start

In a cloak-and-dagger operation I decided to register the domain jabb3r.net and added it to our limun.org jabber server. This site is a bit empty at the time of writing but a jabber information and news page should be started here.
Some short information about the jabb3r.net service:
